About anchormoorad
A place where retirement documents are taken seriously
anchormoorad was established in Bangsar to fill a gap that many households recognise too late: the absence of a well-ordered, well-understood household records folder.

How anchormoorad came to be
anchormoorad opened its doors in Bangsar in 2019. The founding idea was straightforward: many Malaysians approach retirement with a solid working life behind them but without a single place where their pension documents, EPF correspondence, and household records are gathered and legible to anyone who needs them.
The name draws on the image of setting an anchor — not in the sense of being fixed or immovable, but in the sense of having a settled, reliable point of reference. A household with a well-kept records folder has that anchor. When something changes — a health event, a decision about withdrawal timing, a conversation with an adult child — the right documents are simply there.
In the years since opening, anchormoorad has run setup sessions for individuals across Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley, hosted reading groups on EPF and KWAP materials, and supported households through the Annual Records Programme as it runs from January to December each year. The work is unglamorous and that is precisely the point.
All sessions are held at 22 Jalan Maarof. The space is quiet, with enough natural light and enough room between chairs that people do not feel crowded. The facilitators are not financial advisers. They are patient, well-read organisers who understand what publicly available retirement materials say and who can help a household build a folder that will still make sense five years from now.
Mission
To give Malaysian retirees and those approaching retirement a calm, structured opportunity to read, organise, and understand their household documents — without pressure, jargon, or advice that strays beyond the materials themselves.
Our Position
anchormoorad does not hold a financial advisory licence and does not seek one. All activities are educational and organisational. We work from publicly available materials only and never comment on individual financial decisions.

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Every session at anchormoorad is shaped by a set of commitments that participants can hold us to from the first meeting.
Educational Scope Only
All sessions remain within an educational and organisational scope. No session crosses into financial guidance, legal interpretation, or individual case assessment.
Participant Privacy
Documents brought to setup sessions are handled by participants themselves. Facilitators assist with labelling and structure; they do not photograph, copy, or retain any personal paperwork.
Published Sources Only
Reading group materials are drawn exclusively from documents published by EPF, KWAP, PERKESO, and other recognised Malaysian public bodies. No third-party commentary is introduced.
No Sales Inside Sessions
anchormoorad does not refer participants to any financial product, insurance policy, investment scheme, or third-party service during or after a session. Sessions are sold once; there are no upsells.
Consistent Session Format
Each programme has a defined format that participants receive in writing before the first session. Facilitators follow the format and note any deviations for quality review.
Annual Material Review
Reading group source materials are reviewed and updated annually to reflect the most current publicly available versions from the relevant statutory bodies.
About Our Work
Pension document organisation in Malaysia — what anchormoorad actually does
anchormoorad occupies a specific and narrow position in the landscape of retirement-related services in Malaysia. It is not a financial advisory firm, not a legal practice, and not an insurance intermediary. It is an educational and organisational service that works with retirees and those preparing for retirement in Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding areas.
The core observation behind anchormoorad's work is that most households accumulate years of pension-related correspondence — EPF statements, KWAP contribution summaries, nomination forms, tax documents — without any structure for locating or reading them. When a decision point arrives, the household often cannot find what it needs. The documents exist; they are simply not organised.
The setup session addresses the immediate problem: a two-hour working session that produces a labelled folder and a one-page map of where each document type sits. The reading group addresses a related problem: many participants have documents but have never read the publicly available booklets that explain what those documents mean in the context of Malaysian retirement schemes. Six weekly sessions, using only published materials, give participants a working reading knowledge they did not have before.
The annual programme is designed for households that want to maintain what they have built rather than letting order dissolve across twelve months. Four touchpoints across the year — an initial setup and three quarterly check-ins — keep the folder current and give participants a named point of contact throughout.
anchormoorad operates from Bangsar and serves participants from across Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, Subang, and Ampang. Sessions are conducted in English. Enquiries by WhatsApp and email are welcome.
